Our Wall Saver lets you mount pressure gates to walls with baseboards which often create a smaller opening at the bottom of the gate than the top. The pressure pad's 5/8" thick well equalizes the distance at the top and bottom of the gate and the pad depth ensures a proper fit even when the bottom measurement doesn't require gate extensions but the top would. The oversized pad spreads pressure over a much larger surface area (over ten times the area of the safety gate's original pads) minimizing the possibility of damage to walls and making installation more stable.
